Description: A new cake kitchen in connection with the Soldiers' Sock and Comfort Fund was recently opened in Margaret Street, Toowoomba. For some time past the ladies have used the Technical College a day and a half a week for cooking, but the demand for their cakes, sweets, etc., has grown to such an extent that the committee of the fund decided to establish its own kitchen. The front shop is painted white with rose-coloured decorations. (Description supplied with photograph.)
