Belize Reclamation. Belize is built on a coastal swamp and much reclamation work is required to cater for a rapidly growing population. The picture illustrates the nature of the terrain.
Belize Bridge. The city of Belize is divided by the haulover creek and the two sections are connected by a single swing bridge constructed in 1922. A second bridge is badly needed.
