Description: Belvedere, owned by Mr and Mrs Ernest Brannigan, was named after Fort Belvedere, the English country home of King Edward VIII. In 1936, at Fort Belvedere, King Edward VIII announced his abdication. In 1954, the house pictured was passed numerous times by Her Majesty, The Queen as she drove to and from Government House in Bardon, Brisbane.
