    Michael Arlen (1895-1956), born Dikran Sarkis Kouyoumdjian, was an English/Armenian writer. He made two visits to America in 1925, first in March, and again in September, probably for the opening on Broadway of The Green Hat, based on his book of the same name. His exploits and observations on these visits were documented in The New Yorker>.
