Research Mary has gone all Imperial on us these days and we haven't had too many Clonbrocks to view and comment on so today we go down a little in the peerage to the Lords and Ladies of the Dillon household! A ruined castle surrounded by vegetation somewhere - but where? That is one of the beauties of their collection, it could be anywhere. From Connacht to the farthest reaches of Austria or Switzerland? Can we find it and is it still standing?

Gold star to [https://www.flickr.com/photos/184711311@N04] Saaleck is not a million miles from Eisenach. The consensus was that they were in Eisenach in July 1901 Eisenach

https://www.flickr.com/photos/184711311@N04 Fantastic, well done again. I am wondering if you are going to drop the "Diesel" soon and move over to "HVO" to show a greener hue? I must say that "Suck HVO" does not roll of the tongue as easily as "Suck Diesel".

Not the site of the murder but the hideout of the assassins. And happened at Saaleck Castle not Rudelsburg. Saaleck Castle can be seen in the background of the 1905 postcard. Civil & Military Gazette (Lahore) - Friday 21 July 1922:
Walter Rathenau was German Foreign Minister. He had been assassinated in Berlin.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walther_Rathenau?wprov=sfla1suckindeesel
