The Dion and Duquette families gathered on August 30th, 1909 at the Dion farm, Johnson’s Corners, Elzevir Township, to celebrate the wedding of Nellie Dion (age 22) and Moses Duquette (age 38). Nellie was the daughter of Hilaire (called Albert) Dion and his wife Josephine Johnson; the groom was the son of Alex Duquette and his wife Rosa Ayenard.

The ceremony was performed by Father Louis Chaillou at St. John’s Roman Catholic church in Flinton and attendants were Annie Dion and Alex Duquette Jr.
