Vera Sommers is pictured collecting a ball that has slipped past Beryl Kenna, while Muriel Maher looks on. The MI.I.M. team won the 1948 basketball premiership. The basketball courts were situated on the riverside of the swimming pool. This photograph published with a story on the end of the basketball season on page 13 of the October 1948 MIMAG.
