We are back with the Irish Tourism Collection and in County Cork. The scene shows Miss Brophy's Cottage at Moraning Castle near Boherbue in Co. Cork so the question no doubt is who was Miss Brophy and what is the scene like now?

Looks like a new tiled roof and recently been plastered. Maybe it's a relatively new house?

Looks like it was taken with an ancient iphone and the photographer forgot to turn the phone sideways.

This tweet twitter.com/Monanimy1/status/1160100935877713920 includes the text

"However one of the evicted children, Miss Annie Barry, was reinstated in 1908, she renovated the castle once more and resided there until 1940 when a burning ember let fall on a hearth rug ignited a ruinous blaze."
I wonder if "Miss Brophy" is in fact Miss Barry*, yet another victim of the Krazy Kataloger? That would match the 1942-44 dates - a new house because the castle was uninhabitable after 1940. *who wanted do get rid of a puppy in 1932.

Here's a coincidence of no consequence. I searched the BNA for the surname Maher Loughan (visitors at Monanimy in the census), and the only person it found was a Mr J Maher Loughan of Killarney (probably/possibly a brother of Dudley (in the census) as J and D Maher Loughan were both nephews of the deceased in the report of a Killarney funeral). Anyway, the coincidence was that J Maher Loughan worked for the Hotel and Tourist Association of Ireland .
