One of the things I am enjoying about this collection of photographs is that I have the pleasure of meeting remarkable women who were a force to be reckoned with in the early years of the last century! Some , no most, have been campaigners for one cause or another, some have been artists, writers, patriots and women of courage. But all were remarkable and I knew not of their existence until they were shown here. So now I can look forward to learning about this lady, Alice Stopford-Green whose delicate features could have made her a movie star today?
