Holiday-makers on the beach at Shorncliffe, Brisbane, around 1935. The Shorncliffe jetty can be seen in the centre of the image, with an enclosed swimming area situated halfway along its length. The swimming enclosure segregated men from women, as well as giving protection from sea predators. Small sailing boats are also sailing close to the bathers.
