On July 22, 2020 CDR Corinne Devin was the recipient of the 2020 International Virdimura Award, named after Dr. Virdimura – the first woman to be awarded an official medical degree in 1378. This award, given by the Italian Society of History of Medicine and Academy for Medical Arts, acknowledges exceptional female doctors or women who have distinguished themselves for humanitarian and philanthropic activities.
