Is it the Halifax Infirmary on Queen St, Halifax being built?
Good suggestion, [https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]] but this postcard of the Infirmary (www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=vgJ8mSe...) shows it had 5 stories and just rectangular window openings, unlike this image.
The Halifax Infirmary was constructed in 1933, and we had pegged the cars pictured in this image earlier than that - but if any car-buffs can weigh in on that, maybe we can get a better date estimate.
This building replaced the hotel that burnt down on Hollis Street
Thanks www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/ , do you have more details, such as where on Hollis, or which hotel? We can check the Street Directories for the 1910s with a few more details.
