    Marjorie Hollinshed was also a book writer. Some of her titles are: "In Search of Ballet in Australia"; and "Dancers in Queensland".

    Ballet shoes in the 1930s were rubber flat sneakers with lace and were usually white, black or brown, sometimes with a rubber cap toe. Earlier shoes were just satin with leather soles and were closer to the shoes made for ballet dancers today.
