In 1872 Miss Amy Sheridan's performance of Lady Godiva by W. M. Akhurst for Astley's circus created a furor among the respectable society when she appeared as Lady Godiva dressed in what for the time was deemed virtually nothing.

Described as "a sight to drive the mosquitoes mad" photographs of the Amy were deemed pornographic by many but still sold in large numbers in Australia.

With my latest recording, the Preludio op. 28 no. 4 of Chopin, comment on your excellent image. The piece is dedicated to Eva Maria Levy protagonist of the book "The violin of Auschwitz", by Anna Lavatelli. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KWQg0EGG7U&t=14s
