It is quite a while since we posted a photograph from the O'Connor Collection so here goes. A scenic seaside situation showing several people enjoying the sea air. The location is unknown, but given the steps and access to the water I suspect that that will not last long.

I don't recognize the place. Looks a bit Portrushish. Datewise, the man bottom right is wearing a straw boater, the ladies skirt reaches the ground and she has a hat covered in flower decorations. I will guess 1900-1905.

I'd have said more Castletownbere, myself. It looks familiar but I can't place it, so I suspect there'll be an "Of course!" moment later.

I'll admit to being in a similar state to https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]. It looks vaguely familiar, but I have no firm location.

[https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]] The two houses at top left are still standing (streetview) but I don's see a date for them at the NIAH.

Aha, according to this estate agent who was selling the one on the right (Maryland) in February: BUILT IN 1907 MARYLAND HOUSE OCCUPIES ONE OF THE BEST LOCATED POSITIONS IN THE CORK AREA

Crosshaven railway station opened in 1903 bringing lots of daytrippers. Closed to passengers in 1932.
