A lovely Eason image of a bridge and other buildings at Arklow in County Wicklow but nary a castle in sight. After all the information acquired yesterday I fear that today will be a bit of an anticlimax. Hopefully somebody will prove me wrong?

Yes! Looking south from Glasnevin Bridge. The terrace of three mock-Tudor gables is still there. Streetview - goo.gl/maps/P2YJb665vBZ9H39o6

Is that the Botanic Gardens behind the trees? Nos. 19/20 tram route electrified end of 1899.

Suck Diesel, yes. The gardens are off to the right and the main entrance is just around the corner.

And it does indeed say "Glasnevin Post Office" above the post office door. Nice work.

The row of shops has a date of 1901 on the front (see note). Gent in a boater suggests 1901-1910 (ish).
