Mr. J. B. McGaughey was born in 1861 in Chesterville, Ohio. He and his wife, Hannah E. (Kinsell) McGaughey, had four children: Hugh Dillman, Mary, Louise, and Max. The family made their home at 1953 Concord Road. Hugh Dillman McGaughey was a successful stage actor until he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1917. Hugh was also well known for his marriage to the actress Marjorie Rambeau and his second marriage to the Dodge Brothers heiress, Anna Dodge. Max McGaughey worked as manager of the Peters-Herron Dash Company, and Mr. McGaughey worked as a traveling salesman for the same company. Mr. McGaughey died in June of 1921.
