Does "No. 1 Issue" mean what it says? - that this was the inaugural edition?

Hi cogito ergo imago This wasn't the inaugural edition of "The Queenslander - Illustrated weekly" but I'll see what I can find out about the "No. 1 issue" label on the illustration.

Hi cogito ergo imago So far, we have not been able to find out anything about the "No. 1 issue" label on the illustration. If we do uncover any useful information, I will post it here.

Thanks, don't go to any trouble, I was just curious in the face of evidence that there were earlier issues. Perhaps the word "issue" meant "magazine" at the time and it was just a bit of self-promotion?
