    Although food rationing was introduced in January 1940, at the same time the women of Sarn and Cwm Baptist Churches in Montgomery managed to prepare enough cakes and buns for a respectable tea at the Recognition Service for their new pastor, the Reverend F. A. Baker.

    The overwelming thing that strikes me in almost all these photographs is the poverty.....bare rooms, children working, all raise a smile though.
