In Memoriam: Wystan
New York state senator Gottfried Wende. Early in September, 1913, the press learned that Wende, an ardent supporter of New York Governor William Sulzer in the impeachment proceedings against him, may have been influenced by the fact that his son, George B. Wende, received a salary from the Sulzer organization, for labors unspecified.
