A cropped version of this photo ran in The Sunday Oregonian. (Portland, Ore.) 1881-current, August 10, 1913, SECTION FIVE, Image 61 with the caption: "Morris McDonald is the new general manager of the Boston & Maine and Maine Central railroads. He succeeded Charles S. Mellen when Mr. Mellen resigned because he found it impossible to handle satisfactorily three railroads. Mr. McDonald has been vice-president of the road and is thoroughly competent to handle his new position."
