Given the low response to yesterdays wonderful shot we may need to repost it later as we are obviously in the holiday season with our contributors away on leave?
Today sees a rare visit to the Tilbrook collection and to the Ring of Kerry. In colour no less. This lovely image of a horse-drawn plough with the sun streaming down on the furrowed ground would lighten the heart and raise our hopes! It is appropriate in its own way as today the 2017 Dublin Horse Show begins - with all the excitement, activity and of course horses galore. I hope they have a great show!

Perhaps somewhere near the camera is Mr Tilbrook's Ford Consul YBJ 427. The date on the other photo is "ca. 1960" - did they make several trips to the Ring of Kerry ? https://www.flickr.com/photos/nlireland/6992065114/

Did that farmer just flatten a Fairy Fort ?

Lovely photo that reminds us of our youth. Only a powerful man (or woman) could manage work like this. A tough generation.

Ahhh, those were the days! And, from time to time, perhaps they still are... https://www.flickr.com/photos/peterdenton/34787643490/in/dateposted/

A truly beautiful image, I absolutely love it.

I should be down that corner of the country at the weekend. Will see if I can recreate. (Although I wouldn't fancy it at noon. As the high-shadows seem to suggest).

Thanks [https://www.flickr.com/photos/20727502@N00]! If you do manage to find the spot, be sure to take a "then and now". comparison image! I went for a "StreetView Drive"TM looking for this spot - thinking it might be around Sneem way. But only found this comedy speed sign. Maybe Danny Healy Rae's fairy friends had a hand in it?
