    To the right of the dais, at the front of the crowd and between the policemen, is an Australian photographer. I wonder if he took the previous shot with the Aussie band taking the salute?

    The geotagging of this shot is wrong - the location is Australia House on the Strand: goo.gl/maps/pQpdLYQKkBr - and the date is 25 April 1919, though it is also given as 3 May on some archival photos. There's a Pathe newsreel of the event from this same vantage point (the url has the wrong title of parade down Regent St but the caption info is correct). www.britishpathe.com/video/victory-parade-1919-through-re...
