DESCRIPTION
Drawing of David Nims of Keene New Hampshire. Nims was born in 1716 in Deerfield MA and died in Keene in 1803. He was given an early grant of land in Keene of 10 acres. He was Keene's first town clerk and treasurer. He had 10 children, 50 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. By 1900, the whole number of his progeny was about 2000! This is the only picture of a pioneer settler of Keene.
