"Deseronto Wharf" photo postcard (slightly damaged) from The Heliotype Co., Ltd., Ottawa, looking north from the Bay of Quinte and showing a large vessel [possibly the SS Geronia: see comment] at the steamship wharf in Deseronto, Ontario and the main office building of the Rathbun Company on the right of the image. c.1900.

    There are some very interesting features of this ship. With the spacing of the windows, it looks like the Geronia, a photo of which appears in Willis Metcalfe's book: Canvas & Steam on Quinte Waters, 1968 (see picture section 4th page after page 120). There seems to be a shorter skirt on the upper bow section of the hull, in this version, is the only obvious difference I can see.
