Voor zijn parlementaire loopbaan ondernam Robert Godding als afgevaardigd bestuurder van de “S.A. de Cultures au
Congo belge” verschillende studiereizen naar Belgisch-Congo. Deze foto's werden tijdens de reis van 1927 genomen. Op de foto zien we onder andere Hélène Bauss, echtgenote van Robert Godding, tijdens een tussenstop onderweg naar Binga in het noorden van het land.

Before his MP career for the Belgian Liberal Party, Robert Godding undertook several study trips to the Belgian Congo in the 1920s as member of the board of the “S.A. de Cultures au Congo belge”. This series of photos was captured during his trip in 1927. On the picture we see among others Hélène Bauss, wife of Robert Godding, during a stop on the way to Binga, in the north of Congo.
