If this were a modern image, you’d be forgiven for thinking the village pond had flooded Wetwang’s main street.
But this is Wetwang, East Yorkshire, in 1920, when the pond was much larger.
In the background are the buildings now occupied by ‘The Black Swan’ pub and the fish & chip shop.

    There is a date problem with this as the title indicated 1910 while the text says it is 1920.
