What a difference a century makes. Back in the days when you could stand in the middle of the road without fear of being knocked down by heavy traffic; this picture from the 1900s helps show what a difference the motor car has made to Beverley’s streets. The introduction of the new by-pass however, might help change Keldgate back to the quiet street it once was, or at least help reduce the number of vehicles that pass along it.
