Edwin Wilson's book, The Wishing Tree (1992) says that this statue depicting Industry was probably plaster on sandstone, produced by Villeroy & Boch, and was placed at the Randwick Entrance Gates to Sydney's Centennial Park in c1890 (page 140). It was one of eight allegorical statues placed in the park at this time. The Industry statue was removed from the park by the 1970s.
