A worm wheel is a toothed gear with the gear teeth cut at anangle with the sides of its rim. This angle is such as will make itsteeth readily mesh, or fit, into the screw threads of the wormwhich is used to drive it. While the driving worm is not shownon this blueprint, a dimension line at the right of the view, withone of its arrow points touching the center line of the worm wheeland the other touching another center line drawn near the loweredge of the blueprint, shows that the center-to-center distance ofthe worm and the worm wheel is 3f inches. Lettered data nearthe lower center lines states that the worm wheel is to have thirty-two teeth of |-inch circular pitch a
