Place names, or toponyms, fill our maps and street signs and place histories, but how often do we really give them much thought?
The Professional Historians Association NSW (PHANSW) and the RAHS present a workshop, provide participants with:
- An understanding of the value and uses of place names in historical research
- The ability to identify some key records for place name research
- The ability to incorporate place names into history projects
