Damage caused by a 6 inch shell to business premises at 3, Grosvenor Street, West Hartlepool. The business belonged to C. Mustard who was a tailor. The bombardment of the Hartlepools by Germany took place on the 16th December 1914. This was the first time British civilians were in the line of enemy fire during a World War. HAPMG : 1975.14.4
