    My grandfather, Joseph Featherstone, migrated from Darlington, England, to Toowoomba, arriving in 1912. It's amazing to me that the local foundry was sophisticated enough to build trains. Joe worked for many years at the Toowoomba Railway Station as a shunter and railway ambulance man.
