Warren Armstrong and Frank Furniss were the chefs for this feast, held on the banks of the Scioto River during the first outing of the Upper Arlington Fishing Club. They served sandwiches, wienerwursts, coffee, and apple pie. Several of the men provided entertainment for others in the group, and many also enjoyed cigars. An article that accompanied this photograph from the October 1918 Norwester magazine mentioned several other participants in the fishing outing including Frank Rogers, Lew Albright, Paul Spence, Ben Thompson, Fred W. Reed, Ed Nace, Orr Zimmerman, "Warden Thomas," and "Dave" (Herbert Sherwood Warwick).

Honor and respect to our fishing predecessors who passed the tradition and their knowledge down to us!
