    U.S. Grant died in 1885, so the date range given ([between ca. 1915 and ca. 1920]) seems problematic. Thank you.

    The Sun and the New York herald., May 23, 1920, Section 7 Magazine Section, Image 81 published a similar photo with an article "Chauncey M.Depew Tells How the G. O. P. Gained Grant" chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn83030273/1920-05-23/ed-... Several other newspapers printed photos of Grant in 1920, but - as far as I can see - not this one.

    Impossible that this picture was taken in 1915. Grant had been dead for 30 years.
