    Thank you for the History, how I wish teachers in our schools would use this. On TV this week, adults were questioned on the street: thought Pres. Bill Clinton was from WW II, no one new Pres. Abraham Lincoln. How can this be?

    The evening world., May 27, 1919, Final Edition, Page 19, column 3 chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn83030193/1919-05-27/ed-... indicates that soldier athletes were sailing to France to augment the U. S. team in interallied games. Richmond times-dispatch., June 05, 1919, page 8, column 2 chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn83045389/1919-06-05/ed-... indicates that they sailed on the Great Northern from Hoboken.
