There is a date of 6/11/19 at the top, but this was likely taken between 1907 and August, 1914, when the ship.. renamed SS President Grant, operated as a Hamburg American Lines private liner. The tag on the trunk the boy is carrying says Hamburg American Pier, Hoboken, NJ. The date cut off at the bottom seems to be 11/??/07. A nearby photo from the same ship has a date of 11/16/07.
