[https://www.flickr.com/photos/beachcomberaustralia] Hi Beachcomber - that's strange, but perhaps you should try again today - it was not officially launched yesterday so there may have been a glitch. Let us know if you still need help. AC

This pic was taken during the Harbour Bridge opening festivities, when a procession of ships passed under the bridge...the P&O liner R.M.S. Maloja was given the honour of leading the procession...the Orient liner R.M.S. Orford was second...the KPM liner S.S. Nieuw Zeeland was third...and so on. In this pic we see R.M.S. Orford, with S.S. Nieuw Zeeland...the white ship on the other side of the bridge...following. The NLA's E.W. Searle collection includes quite a few pics of the procession of ships...including this 'before' shot of R.M.S. Orford... [https://www.flickr.com/photos/national_library_of_australia_commons/6173530359/] The official luncheon, which was attended by all the important people and various hangers on, was held on R.M.S. Maloja...but I gather there were less official but equally celebratory luncheons held on all the other ships as well... trove.nla.gov.au/work/190080679 - the NLA's Fairfax Collection also has quite a few rather superb pics taken during the procession of ships...including this one of R.M.S. Orford... trove.nla.gov.au/work/187500916 - NLA Fairfax pic of R.M.S. Maloja taken from Kirribilli Point is another goody...here, if you scroll down to the comments, I've put links to pics of some of the other ships which took part in the procession...
