    I think this is nearer 1950. The Austin A40 was manufactured 1947-1952. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_A40_Devon

    [https://www.flickr.com/photos/angeljim46] I would agree Andy. And there's an ever reliable O-class tram No 806 still looking after the crowds. But sadly the days are numbered as within a decade that era of tramway traffic was to end. It would be nearly fifty years before trams would run again on the streets of Sydney.

    I am dubious about the date for a lot of these. That Austin is not 1942 or earlier.
