We've had amazing stories of family members identifying their parents or grandparents from our Flickr Commons collection. We would love to know the identity and story of these two young women.

nla.gov.au/nla.news-page2011483 this 1946 Courier-Mail report includes a pic of the girl on the left which might have been taken on the same occasion...per the Courier-Mail she is Miss Eileen Quinlan...from West End...bit of a rebel turning her military trousers up like that... Just going on the Courier-Mail report it appears the pics were taken the previous day in Brisbane - ie. 10 January, 1946... nla.gov.au/nla.news-article50264199 here's a PS item

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]] There is a story here! Thanks for starting us off. There appear to be stories relating to these "Manila girls" for a couple of years. We'll post our findings here.
