A photographic view of the New Inn boarding house, in Clovelly, Devon.

Clovelly is an ancient fishing village. There has only ever been pedestrian access through the steep High Street shown in the photograph, although donkeys and sledges were used to help transport goods past the New Inn, which has remained a boarding house.
